Dear guests, respected OMs!

It is with particular pleasure that I welcome you to your and our 13th ZAGREB RADIO FEST. I thank you for your loyalty and support during the past eleven gatherings. I believe that you will agree with the fact that it has become normal that we see each other in September at the Jarun. Inspired by your support and with a lot of will and enthusiasm we have again this year organised a series of activities for you and even some novelties. This is not at all easy given the current economic situation in the country and the limited financial funds. However with good organisational skills and the financial support of the City office for education, culture and sport of the City of Zagreb, and our partners with whom we have cooperated with in the last few years, we have managed to cover the envisaged activities with the available budget. As we like to take a step forward in relation to the fair content every year, we have decided to include one of the radio amateur “regions” in the organisation of the ZAGREB RADIO FEST. Last year they were the radio amateurs from Slavonia and Baranja. This year, hopefully, they will be radio amateurs from Istria. In the next few years we will also include and present radio amateurs from other Croatian regions. The request of the radio amateurs that we “extend” the fair and already on Friday afternoon enable visiting to the fair was granted, and we expect more visits form radio amateurs on one of the envisaged dates. The exhibitors we have had to date have given us their full support so that this year too they will present their products and services at this year’s ZAGREB RADIO FEST. We have received calls about this year’s ZAGREB RADIO FEST from national federations of neighbouring countries who have participated in the ZAGREB RADIO FEST to now, as well as all current domestic and foreign companies which will exhibit devices and gear intended for radio amateurs. We have paid special attention to the lectures which have proved to be very popular so far, and so this year too you will be able to listen to lectures by our known radio amateurs. Aside from closed areas (tents) in which national federations and companies will exhibit, for all of you who want to sell, exchange or buy things we have prepared the sale of used equipment in front of the covered area of the Doma technike (Home of technology).
There will also be informal gatherings of teams and groups of radio amateurs who especially nurture a specific type of work on amateur radio stations, and all this of course with a rich offer of food and beverages. Due to all the abovementioned, I look forward to us all gathering together again in large numbers and spending pleasant moments together on your and our ZAGREB RADIO FEST.

Welcome to the 13th ZAGREB RADIO FEST!
